Display / Refresh Bug with inconsistent tags on teams
The initial team list in the schedule had various tags on the teams based on the registration categories. I need to clean this up before I start scheduling, so we have consistency. I rely on the tags to help me filter and such based on certain teams, etc. So it needs to be clean and consistent.
Here many teams had one (or more) tags named "Male". I selected all teams and told it to delete these tags. Many of the teams then had the tags instantly disappear in the team list. Meanwhile, several others did not. Perhaps the most confusing was the A. Strikers which showed the tags existing in the team list, but not existing in the team pane to the right when I click on the team.
You can see that once I refreshed the web page, all the other teams in the list with the "Male" tag now correctly show that tag gone.
This unfortunately is all too common with StackSports League Connect. Oftentimes the set of data you're looking at is not current (even though it should be, as demonstrated by the fact that several of the teams did instantly remove Male from the tags in the team list, but others did not). And the big problem is that you don't even know this. So you can end up doing work with the assumption that the data appearing on the screen is correct, only afterward (after running into some "strange issue" and banging your head on the wall for a while) to refresh your browser and realize you were looking at outdated data all along, because StackSports once again failed to fully update the displayed data.
Even our registrars have complained of these types of issues (missing data, or extra data that shouldn't be there). It can get extremely confusing.
As I have discussed this with the StackSports trainer and he conceded that unfortunately, you just need to get used to refreshing your web browser.
Maybe a refresh wouldn't be such a big deal if the system had any concept of using cookies (and possibly a server-side user profile/history mechanism) to remember the page you were last on, and the layout, so that you could be immediately returned to the work you were just doing.
I immediately suspected this was probably a display bug, and the tag actually did exist. So I started recording the screen, refreshed my web browser and navigated back to the team. Sure enough, the tag that had disappeared was in fact present.
So this tag display/discrepancy bug continues.

Update (2/17/2019):
This happened again to me today. I recorded it again. This time I noticed that it was after I had added 2 tags to a team. I'm not sure whether I saved it after each tag (I added them using the team side-bar on the right-side). But after adding one of the tags, I clicked save on the team side-bar, and one of the tags just disappeared right before my eyes.I immediately suspected this was probably a display bug, and the tag actually did exist. So I started recording the screen, refreshed my web browser and navigated back to the team. Sure enough, the tag that had disappeared was in fact present.
So this tag display/discrepancy bug continues.
Here's the video:
Notice that before I refresh my browser there are only 2 tags on the team. After I refresh and navigate back to the team, there are now (correctly) 3 tags.
Though I'm not sure, I think this issue may only manifest itself during the browser session when the tags are created. I think after refreshing, the display of the tags updates and appears correctly and is reliable thereafter.
